Used to keep you signed in if you use the account area, and to keep a checkout in progress working. Without these the site cannot function.

When you use the site search, we keep a first-party log on our own systems of the words or digits you searched for (as typed and in a tidied form), what kind of search it was and how many numbers matched, so we can source the numbers people actually want. This log is not shared with Google and we do not ask for names or contact details in search, so please do not type them there. Google Analytics is not currently active on this site. If it is switched on, a banner will ask first: nothing from Google loads unless you choose Accept analytics. If you accept, it measures views of public pages and numbers, completed enquiries and checkouts started, sending only the kind of search and the number of matches — never search words, contact details or order references, and advertising features stay off. Your choice lasts up to six months; use Cookie settings in the footer to change it, and rejecting removes the analytics cookies.

Where we run paid search campaigns, the relevant provider may set cookies to measure whether an advert led to an enquiry. These are only set when such a campaign is active.

Every browser lets you block or delete cookies in its settings. Blocking essential storage will stop sign-in and checkout from working.
